Reboro meets Buttafuoco | 21-22 October 2022

On the 21st and 22nd of October in Trentino’s Valle dei Laghi, the event dedicated to the great Trentino red wine raisining is back. For this fifth edition the twinning will be with Oltrepò Pavese’s Buttafuoco Storico, in a two-day event dedicated to operators and wine lovers with tastings and winery visits.

Appointments and meetings for a two-day event in the name of raisining, twinning of territories and brotherhood among winemakers. A scientific conference, a Masterclass, a starred dinner and a tour of the wineries, to bring the territories into dialogue: Valle dei Laghi, with its Reboro and Vino Santo Trentino, and Oltrepò Pavese with its Buttafuoco.

QUALITY AND CERTIFICATION. WINE BETWEEN REGULATIONS AND PRODUCERS

Conference held by Alessandro Torcoli, director of Civiltà del Bere, in dialogue with technicians from the Fondazione E. Mach and with Gianpaolo Girardi, owner of PropostaVini.
An in-depth discussion dedicated to the quality of wine, when this is determined by a territory of origin, a denomination or the quality of the winemakers who produce it. Quality and perceived value of wine, oenological characteristics and marketing possibilities will be a source of dialogue between the speakers with a focus on Buttafuoco Storico and Reboro.

REBORO AND BUTTAFUOCO STORICO, COMPARATIVE TASTINGS
Guided tasting held by Alessandro Torcoli with the participation of the producers 

Tasting of 8 wines: from Rebo to Buttafuoco; from Reboro to Buttafuoco Storico. At the end of the tasting, a dish will be served under the vine by the chefs of the Slow Food Alliance, with whom the Associazione Vignaioli del Vino Santo Trentino, a community that produces and protects the Slow Food Presidium wine of the same name, is always pleased to collaborate to promote an agricultural and food product that is good, clean and fair.

DIALOGUE BETWEEN TERRITORIES
Wine tours

Discovering the wines of the Valle dei Laghi – Rebo and Reboro, but also Nosiola and Vino Santo – and the Oltrepò Pavese with its Buttafuoco and Buttafuoco Storico; the producers’ tales and toasts will be paired with traditional dishes – from appetizers to desserts; with a visit to the Casa Caveau del Vino Santo, a place where the ancient traditions of the Valley are safeguarded. In each winery, there will be a tasting of a dish and two wines, one from Trentino and one from Oltrepò Pavese.

The Trentino winegrowers taking part: Alessandro Poli of the Francesco Poli winery; Enzo Poli of the Maxentia winery; Graziano and Giampaolo Poli of the Giovanni Poli winery; Marco and Stefano Pisani of the Oltrepò Pavese wineries. For AIS, SLOW FOOD, ONAV, ASPI members showing the membership card at the entrance. Fee: 30 euros. Reservations required within 24 hours prior to entry. The tour can be undertaken with two recommended starting times, to allow for the best possible service of the dishes, with a stop of approximately one hour for each winery. Departures will be every 20 minutes to ensure proper spacing between groups. Maximum availability 150 places.

Gourmet dinner organised by Peter Brunel Ristorante Gourmet in collaboration with the Vignaioli del Vino Santo Trentino and the Club Buttafuoco Storico 
A journey dedicated to a new twinning, between the Valle dei Laghi and Oltrepò Pavese, in a menu interpreted and created for the occasion by Peter Brunel.
